     Neste trabalho os poetas não assinaram os seus poemas. Ou, se quisermos, assinaram todos com o mesmo nome: o Povo, que fez e faz a história entre risos e lágrimas.

     Poucos não Açorianos serão dignos de descodificar por inteiro este cacho de sons que transportam uma história, uma experiência de oceano intercalado de lava, com gente viva lá dentro a viver, a amar e a festejar à sua maneira.

     In this work the poets did not sign their poems. Or, shall we say, they did it, however, all with the same name: the People who has made and still does history with laughs and tears.

     Few non-Azoreans will be worthy of entirely decoding this cluster of sounds that carry a history, an experience of ocean mingled with lava, and inside there is a people living, loving and celebrating in their own way.
